Solicitud de Baja

What to collect before requesting cancellation

Build a precise account record so your request reaches the right place.

Identify the service and billing route

Start with the latest receipt, account page or subscription confirmation. Record the service name, account identifier and company shown as managing the subscription. A familiar brand name on an app does not by itself explain which company or platform handles billing. Use the purchase records to establish the route you need to check.

If several subscriptions share one account, list them separately. Include the plan name or reference that distinguishes the service you want to end. Check whether the purchase was made directly with the company or through another platform. Then locate the current instructions on that company’s or platform’s official account pages.

Find the dates without guessing

Record the current service period, next renewal date and billing frequency where the account provides them. Keep the source of each date. If you can see only a bank transaction, use it to identify the purchase rather than assuming it establishes the full subscription period or cancellation process.

Distinguish your preferred end date from the date the company may confirm. If you want to stop renewal while keeping access through a paid period, write that intention clearly. If timing is uncertain, ask a direct question through the accepted channel instead of inserting a date into a draft and treating it as settled.

Look for connected tasks

Check whether the subscription includes equipment, additional users, stored files or another service. These items can require separate attention even after the main cancellation request is prepared. Make a short list of what you need to export, return or clarify. Do not assume that deleting an app completes those tasks.

If you need to retain your own files or records, inspect the available export options while access is still available. Keep service cancellation and account deletion as separate decisions in your notes. Ask how each action affects access and saved information before requesting both simply because they appear next to each other in an account menu.

Prepare a concise request package

Bring together the account reference, exact service, requested action and response contact. Add only the supporting material needed to identify the subscription. Avoid sending passwords or full payment-card details in a general message. If the company requires identity verification, use its documented process rather than inventing an informal substitute.

Keep the records you used to prepare the request so you can understand later changes. A screenshot of renewal settings can help your own timeline, but the company’s eventual response still needs checking. The useful result at this stage is a request ready for the correct channel, with the outcome clearly described and unresolved questions visible.

Consider keeping a one-line inventory of recurring subscriptions with the provider, reference and billing frequency. Use it to locate records, not to infer cancellation rules. If a household or business shares access, confirm who should make the request and tell the other authorized users about your intended change before they start a conflicting request or renewal.
